The article established that an important method of learning how to shoot a pistol is to learn techniques and correct actions, first by elements, and then in a complex with fixing them in the form of a skill. Further training involves the improvement of shooting techniques, and at the same time, it is necessary to encourage military personnel to acquire the ability to psychologically adjust to achieving a high result and the skills of physiological adaptation to the conditions of modern combined arms combat.
The method of learning and practicing the elements of shooting technique during training should be such as to arouse interest and desire for systematic practice and improvement of some individual elements or the entire complex as a whole.
Scientists and practitioners have researched a wide range of issues related to improving the performance of shooting training exercises, however, the exemplary value of this aspect from the perspective of ensuring the effective performance of tasks to ensure state security has not been given sufficient attention.
The purpose of the article is to research the methods and ways of performing training exercises and practical practice of actions at shooting training aimed at mastering by shooters the main components of preparation for hitting the target, in order to successfully and effectively practice each of these components.
The correctness of the grip is gradually fixed by the shooter's muscle memory and comes as a result of training. First, the shooter will have to carefully check the position of the weapon. Checking the correctness of the grip is as follows: you need to take a manufacturing position, aim, strengthen and weaken the grip of the handle. With the correct position of the handle in the brush, this action should not affect the position of the front sight in the rear sight slot. To achieve this, it is necessary, aiming, to shift your gaze to some distant object, while not changing your position, and then see where the front sight is in relation to the slot of the rear sight, if it is shifted to the left or right, it is necessary to change the position of the pistol grip in relation to the palm of your hand accordingly , i.e. change weapon grip.
Concluding consideration of such an important element of the technical training of a pistol shooter, which is the grip and holding of the pistol during shooting, I would like to emphasize once again that the hand should hold the weapon firmly, but almost without tension. Excessive tension of the hand holding the weapon, as well as relaxation, leads to a strong oscillation of the weapon and makes it difficult to release the trigger from the cocking.
The force of the grip should be such that the visible oscillations of the front sight are minimal. At one time, this gave rise to the opinion (it is still found today) that the pistol grip should be held as freely as possible, relaxed, so that the pistol "hangs" with the trigger on the index finger. However, the practice of the best pistol shooters, masters of this matter, confirmed the advantage of a tight grip with "dosed" muscle tension.
The directions of further scientific research will be aimed at researching the issues of increasing the effectiveness of conducting training exercises of shooting in the armies of NATO countries.
